Dr. Goy on NCCN Guidelines for Lymphomas

Andre Goy, MD
Published: Friday, May 02, 2014

Andre Goy, MD, MS, chairman, director, and chief of the Lymphoma Division at the John Theurer Cancer Center, discusses NCCN guidelines for the treatment of lymphomas.

NCCN guidelines are updated frequently now, Goy says, and do a great job of trying to integrate novel therapies early on. As there are many options for every lymphoma, guidelines try to unify physicians in their diagnosis and treatment methods.

Treatment of lymphomas is not homogenous, Goy says, and there remains a need to better stratify patients on biological signature in a more reliable way to streamline guidelines and pinpoint better choices.
