Dr. Mikhail on Ongoing Trials in Multiple Myeloma

Sameh Mikhail, MD, medical oncologist, The Mark H. Zangmeister Cancer Center, discussing ongoing trials for patients with multiple myeloma.

According to Mikhail, many studies are looking at the inclusion of stem-cell transplants in patients with myeloma. Currently, there are many immune-modulatory agents and combinations that are being evaluated.

Immunotherapy continues to be an area of investigation in this patient population. Safety concerns are still being investigated, states Mikhail.
