First-Line Amivantamab-chemotherapy vs Chemotherapy in NSCLC With EGFR Exon 20 Insertions: Overall Survival From PAPILLON
The Phase 3 PAPILLON study evaluated first-line amivantamab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR Exon 20 insertion mutations. The amivantamab-chemotherapy group achieved the longest median overall survival reported to date in this population compared to chemotherapy alone. After adjusting for the high rate of crossover to second-line amivantamab among patients initially assigned to chemotherapy, the combination treatment demonstrated a statistically significant overall survival benefit.
