Five-year survival with tebentafusp in previously untreated metastatic uveal melanoma in a phase 3 trial (CT029)

Five-year Phase III data show tebentafusp doubles survival in metastatic uveal melanoma, with ctDNA response predicting benefit beyond imaging and progression.

Updated findings from a phase 3 trial in metastatic uveal melanoma demonstrated that tebentafusp continued to show a durable overall survival benefit with long-term follow-up in previously untreated patients. The analysis also highlighted that early ctDNA clearance may serve as a more sensitive indicator of treatment activity than conventional radiographic response assessments. Additionally, continued treatment beyond radiographic progression was associated with improved post-progression outcomes in selected patients.
