Here, she mentions an example of a patient who was a rectal cancer survivor and an avid runner. The patient had to quit the sport because whenever she would run, she would get severe diarrhea. However, she never discussed this with her nurses and doctor until she used Carevive, a system that lets patients log and rate any side effects that occur so that they can be brought up at medical appointments and addressed.
