Four organizations have gotten together to create an improvement in patient education, says DeRemer. COPA, AAAC, ONS, and NCODA have created a patient-friendly education sheet on oral chemotherapy. It discusses safe handling, side effects, and management strategies, which will help patients better understand the medications that they are receiving, explains DeRemer.
