Sabi Singh Joins Moffitt Cancer Center as New Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Sarabdeep “Sabi” Singh has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida.

Sarabdeep “Sabi” Singh has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida. He is also president of Moffitt Hospital.

Singh will be responsible for overseeing Moffitt’s clinical operations and ensuring a world-class patient experience across all of our campuses. As Moffitt serves more patients and accelerates our expansion plans to meet this demand, Singh’s experience in developing high-functioning and integrated teams will help lead Moffitt into the future.

Singh brings more than 25 years of professional and leadership experience to this role. Prior to joining Moffitt, he served as the chief operating officer of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics since 2013. He also spent four years as the associate hospital director for clinical service lines and two years as assistant vice president for operations excellence and quality and safety. Singh joined University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in 2005 and established the Office of Operations Improvement, aimed at fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Previously, he worked in the automotive industry for 10 years in various leadership roles.

He holds a master’s degree in operations research from Western Michigan University. He also holds a master’s in economics from Panjab University, India. He is a certified Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt, has completed executive leadership courses from Harvard University and has published several papers on Lean methodologies and health care operations.
