There have been 2 main issues over the past 3 decades: many patients are getting surgery when they probably should not while others are being denied an operation when they need one, says Truty.

The main treatment options for patients with pancreatic cancer are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. The challenge is putting them in the right sequence with the right dosage to ensure survival, explains Truty.
