Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple Health are pleased to announce the hiring of Randall A. Lee, MD, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology and a member of the Fox Chase-Temple Urologic Institute.
The Institute concentrates on both benign and oncologic urology. With over 30 providers, the Institute provides services at multiple locations throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
Lee recently completed a Robotic Urologic Oncology & Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Prior to that, he completed a General Surgery Internship and a Urology Residency at Temple University Hospital.
In his new role, Lee will work with some of the same physicians with whom he trained, who are also leaders of the Fox Chase-Temple Urologic Institute. Robert Uzzo, MD, MBA, FACS, President and CEO of Fox Chase, is Executive Director. The new Institute’s executive management team includes Alexander Kutikov, MD, FACS, Jack Mydlo, MD, MBA, Daniel Eun, MD, and Jay Simhan, MD, FACS.
Before training at Temple Health, Lee earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Drexel University and his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine.
Lee has published numerous book chapters, video teaching guides, and over 20 articles in a variety of journals, including the Journal of Urology, European Urology, Urology, and Investigative and Clinical Urology.
He has also presented his research at a number of professional meetings and received a number of honors, including a Rising Star and Best Poster Award at the American Urological Association 2023 Annual Meeting.
Lee has been honored with numerous awards, including the Keck USC Fellows Teaching Award, the Temple University Hospital Resident Research Award, and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honors Society.
Lee will begin his tenure at Fox Chase on September 1.
