Reviewing the Prior Data that Led to Bionic Breast Program

Stacy Tessler Lindau, MD, MA, discusses prior research that informed the Bionic Breast project. She notes that an important aspect of launching the project was establishing that sexual function is an important aspect of human health. She adds that prior research has shown that women value sensation in their breasts and that it is necessary for fundamental activities such as feeling human connection through a hug and experiencing pain.
