David C. Madoff, MD, professor of Radiology, vice chairman for Academic Affairs at Weill Cornell Medicine, discusses selecting patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who are candidates for minimally invasive therapy.

Interventional oncologists work with multidisciplinary tumor boards in deciding a patient's treatment plan, Madoff explains, regarding surgery, radiation therapy, and medicine. Curative procedures are tailored for patients with cirrhosis and have small size tumors.
