The faculty examine circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a tool for treatment selection. The panel walks through the FLAME study, which enrolled patients with EGFR mutations, started all patients on osimertinib, reassessed ctDNA at 3 weeks, and randomized those with persistent detectable ctDNA to escalation with chemotherapy or continued monotherapy. Patients who remained on monotherapy despite detectable ctDNA did worse.
