Dr Mercado is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and the associate chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr Kovacs is chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Hamot, as well as codirector of the UPMC Hamot Comprehensive Lung Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
