Chan Cheah, MD, University of Western Australia, discusses treatment for patients with nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma.

Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma is a rare subtype of Hodgkin lymphoma, Cheah states. This rare subtype has a tendency towards late relapse.

Previously nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma was treated with the same chemotherapy regimens as Hodgkin lymphoma. However, due to the biological differences superior outcomes might be achieved by using a non-Hodgkin lymphoma protocol, explains Cheah.
