Dr. Debu Tripathy, from USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, on the Miami Breast Cancer Conference

Debu Tripathy, MD, professor of medicine and co-leader of the Women’s Cancer Program at the University of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, discusses the 29th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference, which he co-chairs, taking place March 14-17, 2012, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel.

Tripathy explains that the conference offers multiple ways for the attendees to interact with the faculty. These methods of interaction were designed in order to make the conference as dynamic as possible.

The conference institutes an audience response system that logs answers and questions in real-time. In the larger sessions attendees are encouraged to write down questions, however smaller panel discussions are available in the afternoon that allow for direct contact and questions between the attendees and faculty.

The most dynamic interaction is available at the “Meet the Professor,” segments, which offer the ability for direct peer-to-peer discussions between the conference faculty and attendees.
